"to present Christ to everyone, and everyone mature in Christ
in Newcastle, the Hunter and the world" |
St Philips has been a part of Newcastle since itwas a messy little village in 1860. It has a long and interesting history but we haven’t stayed in the past. We know God is working right now and our focus needs to be on the now and the yet to come! In 2000 a new ministry direction breathed exciting life into our church. We have gone on to start churches sponsor church plants, train people in ministry, send missionaries and most importantly help people to a vital life giving experience of God. Our mission is:
"to present Christ to everyone, and everyone mature in Christ,
People need more from church than platitudes or religious pick-me-ups. We need a faith that works, so at St Philips there is a healthy emphasis on the bible and its implications for us today. We hope to be the church that you want to bring your friends to. St Philips 10 am Sundays at 48 Watt St Newcastle is a home to people across the age ranges, from young families to adults.
